Guitars 2 through 6 are PRS Custom 24's. Use the bridge pickup unless otherwise noted. Since Guitar 1 is a Strat on the album version of this song (Brad plays it on a PRS live and it sounds a lot different as a result), there's a good chance that it's actually not tuned down half a step like the other guitars are, but since open strings never come into play with that part I've elected to keep things simple and tab everything in the same tuning. Anyway, Guitar 1 plays the trebly staccato part during the majority of the song, Guitar 2 plays the solo (it's fed directly into the recording console, hence the unique tone), Guitars 3 and 4 play the octave parts (they each play different parts during the last chorus, watch out for that!), and Guitars 5 and 6 handle the powerchords. The solo is easy to play correctly when you slow it down, but the speed at which it's played is what makes it difficult (it also relies heavily on the pinky during the fast parts, which adds to the difficulty). For the sake of not having to double-space the rest of the song, I stuck the solo at the end of the tab. Watch out for how Guitar 1's part during the post-chorus/second verse starts with two 7th fret notes, rather than the 7th fret on the second string and the 5th fret on the first string, which is how Brad always played it live (this happens three times, at the start of every two-staff sequence prior to the pre-chorus). I've also made a change to Guitar 3 at the very end of the song as of late 2025, rather than jumping up an octave for the last two measures (which Brad always did live), it waits until the last measure to do it. I've also added a slide notation in parentheses in the spot right before the jump happens, the sliding noise is very obvious due to how big of a jump it is, and I THINK one strum is skipped there to make the transition a little more cleanly, so it makes sense to actually notate as a slide as opposed to some other songs like Faint, where the big jumps all happen on strummed notes anyway.
