Brad went a very folky route on this demo, and actually used an acoustic guitar in open D tuning for the main guitar part! While the main part is played fingerstyle, it doesn't really require it as you never have to pick multiple notes at the same time. The main guitar part (Guitar 1) has a ton of variations and dead notes, I've tried to be as accurate as possible in transcribing them. Some of the dead notes also come out sounding like harmonics, but I've elected to just use "x" notation for all of them anyway. Guitars 2 and 3 come in during the second verse, they're double-tracked and panned to each side and play D, G, and A chords throughout the rest of the song, with the twist that the open A and D strings ring out on top of all three chords (resulting in the voicings being D, Gadd9, and Aadd11, if you're curious). While I originally tabbed Guitars 2 and 3 in the same open tuning as Guitar 1, I ultimately decided it makes things way easier if those guitars are tuned to D standard, so I adjusted the tab accordingly (no way of knowing for sure how Brad handled this on the recording, but I think it's reasonable to think he may have used two different tunings as well). The final chord at the end of the song is played by Guitar 3 alone.
