Spraypaint & Inkpens - tabbed by Astat Guitar 1 - Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb (Clean w/wah and reverb) *Note* If the guitar on this track is an original recording, it's most likely humbucker-equipped (either a PRS or Ibanez RG). However, it may be sampled from another song, in which case it's hard to say what it is. I personally think it sounds more like a Fender Stratocaster. Either way, use the bridge pickup unless otherwise noted. I know I said for a long time that Cover and Duck was the only original guitar part on We Major, and everything else was sampled from other songs. Actually, this track MIGHT be an exception. While the outro of this track uses a sample of dialogue from the film Wildstyle, I've never been able to find any evidence of the music sampling anything. There's a very funky-sounding guitar in the background of this track, playing random sixteenth-note sequences of Db notes and mutes with a wah. I suspect that it may be sampled from SOMEWHERE, as it doesn't really sound like something Mike would play. Regardless. this guitar rarely plays the same sequence twice, the wah patterns and the placement of the muted notes seems almost completely random. As a result, I haven't tabbed the entire song from start to finish, but here are a few different variations of sequences that sound good: |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-7--x--x--7--x--x--7--x--x--7--x--x--7--7--x--x--| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-7--7--7--x--x--x--7--7--7--x--x--x--7--7--x--x--| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-7--7--x--7--7--x--7--7--x--7--7--x--7--7--x--x--| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------------| Mess around with a few different patterns like these and find a good groove with the wah, and you'll basically have the gist of this song down.
