The guitar on this one is ALMOST straightforward half powerchords/half octaves stuff...Guitars 1 and 2 play the main octave line and a couple feedback fade-ins, Guitars 3 and 4 play the powerchords, and Guitar 5 plays by itself during the second half of each verse. The odd thing about this song is that Guitar 5 plays some major 7th intervals in the verses (a D and a C#) that alternate with regular C# and D octaves. This creates some pretty serious dissonance, which is further magnified in the choruses when Guitars 1 and 2 land on a C# octave while Guitars 3 and 4 move from an F#5 to a G5 powerchord, which gives you a C# and a D note clashing together only a half step apart! Cool stuff. Also watch out for the end of Guitar 5's part in each verse, it moves to the D octave sooner than it does on every other repeat.
