Breaking the Habit (Original Demo) - tabbed by Astat

Guitar 1 - Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb (Acoustic/electric guitar, piezo pickup w/compressor)

*Note* The guitar on this track is a steel-string acoustic guitar (most likely a Takamine), and is recorded directly using an onboard pickup.

The guitar in this mimics what's found on the "Drawing" instrumental demo from LPU 9 in that it's just a loop of what would become the verse riff on the final recording, but there are a couple differences. First, it's actually done on an acoustic guitar this time (the tone is also very dry compared to the delay/reverb-drenched version heard on the later recordings), and second, the open "ghost note" heard before each note at the 13th fret is muted more cleanly on this version. Other than that, the structure is pretty familiar...although Mike's vocals are certainly distracting (clearly they were never intended to be anything more than a guide track, I'm actually surprised he chose to release this version at all)!
