Use the bridge pickup unless otherwise noted. This is a slightly different version of a demo that's been floating around for a while. The previously known version was found on numerous demo CDs prior to Hybrid Theory's release, and is basically the same recording, the only differences are that the first chorus is twice as long on this version, and there's also a short "pre-chorus" break between the second verse and chorus on this version that isn't present on the other demo. The easiest way to remember which is which is that the other demo is actually titled "Points and Authority" instead of "Points of Authority." Anyway, the guitar on this is pretty simple, it's mostly based around the main riff found in the final version of Points of Authority. The chorus hadn't been developed yet on this version, so that riff is absent, but there is a different bridge section on this version that was cut out of the final song. Guitars 1 and 2 handle the bulk of the guitar duties, they have the same auto-gating effect found on them that's present on the album version. Guitar 3 plays a few sections by itself, it's panned to the right and is quieter than the two main guitars. Guitar 4 is right in the center of the mix, and plays the short interlude before the second chorus by itself. As with the album version, the last two guitar tracks (in this case, Guitars 5 and 6) just consist of a reversed 3-chord sample that appears near the end of the song. The outro on this version is missing 2 chords that are present in the final version, so watch out for that, as well as Guitar 3 jumping in to play a couple chords on one of the repeats.
