Hey guys! Sorry about the extended tabs downtime for the last month, I'm sure if you've been following the server situation over at LPLive you'll understand why that took a while. LPLive itself isn't quite back online yet, but the page with my tabs came back online a day or two ago, which I just noticed today. Everything appears to be up to date (the LPU 14 tabs are there), but please let me know if you find any broken links or outdated versions of tabs.
I've also posted a new tab for Prove You Wrong over on the Tabs page, so check that out!

Happy new year, everyone! Starting off another year with some new tabs, I've spent the last week-ish working on LPU 14, and I finished it up today. All tabs for LPU 14 songs are now linked on the Tabs page.
I was planning on just moving right on to LPU 15, but I kind of want to take care of Prove You Wrong first (it's the only Mike solo song with guitar in it that I haven't tabbed), and I've had a TON of people bugging me to tab Cross Off (which technically isn't even supposed to be out yet), so I'll probably do those two songs first.

Oh, you thought I was done for the year? Me too. But here's a surprise for you, I finally tabbed the Xero demo (and I did it all in one evening of work)! Links are up on the tabs page. I also made an update to the verse riff in the tab for Tomorrow I just posted a couple days ago, and I made some slight adjustments to both the studio and demo versions of Forgotten (I added blank staves where applicable to show the proper duration of the bridge).
Now, on to tabbing three years' worth of LPU songs!

Hey guys! Sneaking in another update before the end of the year here. I've added one new guitar to the Misc. Guitars page (a red Telecaster that Matt Harris has been playing on Mike's solo tour), two new guitars to Mike's page (a Fender Bass VI he was seen with in the studio recently, and a Squier Strat that he did custom artwork on for a charity auction), and added new photos/updated information for two more guitars on Mike's page (his late '60s white Strat reissue and the Dragon series Takamine acoustic guitars, both of which have seen more use on recent solo tour shows). I also updated information for Mike's jumbo Takamine acoustic guitar on Chester's page, as I mistakenly had that photo dated as 2010, when it's actually from 2013.
In tabs news, I've also finished the remaining songs from the Stone Temple Pilots - High Rise EP! These were quite challenging, but they contain some very fun guitar work. My next tabbing project will more than likely be the LPU 14 through 16 songs, although I'm considering taking another crack at figuring out the Xero demo (it's been a thorn in my side for almost 15 years - the recording quality makes the guitar very difficult to make out in spots).
Recording-wise, I'm still in a holding pattern because I'm roughly 90% done with putting together my finalized pedalboard that I'll be using in the future. It's so close to done that I don't want to wire it all up in its present state just to have to take it apart again in the near future when I finally acquire the last couple pieces I plan to add to it. I DO have one video planned soon that involves acoustic guitar only (I'm sure you can figure out what song that is pretty easily), but other than that it might be a while longer before you see me posting regularly again. In better news, YouTube seems to have finally fixed their issues with people being unable to deal with copyright disputes, so I'm a little more encouraged to continue recording in the future.
Hope you're all doing well.

Quick update today, I've spent the past week or so knocking out tabs for the Mall soundtrack, which I just wrapped up earlier tonight. All of those songs are now posted on the Tabs page! Up next, I'll finally be finishing up the remaining 3 songs from High Rise (Same on the Inside, Cry Cry, and Tomorrow), although those will certainly be a challenge considering none of them were ever played live!
In terms of videos...eh, I guess I'll get back to doing them at some point, but it sure is hard to see why it would be worth it to do so. As if I didn't have enough reason to be discouraged already, I've been getting copyright blocks AGAIN lately (on videos that I had already successfully disputed in the past, no less), and to make matters worse, YouTube's copyright dispute function has been completely broken since early August, with no signs of them fixing or even acknowledging it anytime soon. I've successfully resolved these issues by going directly through contacts at WB a few times (they've made it VERY clear to me that the issue is with YouTube's Content ID system and nothing on their end - their policy specifically allows any uploads of LP content, even straight re-uploads of songs ripped from albums, because they can monetize them. The only thing they don't allow is re-uploads of official video footage), but I don't exactly want to bug them every time this happens, either.
I just want to make some damn videos of me playing guitar. Is that too much to ask in 2018?
