Hey guys, been posting more YouTube content lately. I'm actually trying to upload 2-3 times a week from now through the end of the year, just to sort of catch up on a bunch of stuff I've put off for far too long. One of these projects is upgrading videos that I previously shot at 720p with my old camera, as all of my newer videos are at 1080p. I've already updated my videos for Points of Authority and Lying from You this way (reusing the audio from my previous videos, as there was nothing wrong with it), and will be doing several more Hybrid Theory/Meteora videos this way in the near future.
I've also re-recorded the second guitar for Given Up using different distortion settings (I hated how my previous attempt sounded), as well as the first guitar on Leave Out All the Rest (I didn't like the clean sound on my old video, and I toned down the distortion on the octaves a little bit this time as well). Guitar 2 for Leave Out All the Rest was re-recorded using the old audio as well (both parts were previously in 720p).
Future "quality upgrade" re-uploads will include Crawling, A Place for My Head, Faint (Guitar 1), and Session. I also need to redo With You at some point, but I don't currently own a 7-string, so it'll have to wait a while. Upcoming Minutes to Midnight material will include various combinations of re-recordings/re-uploads of Shadow of the Day, Hands Held High, No More Sorrow, and In Between to start with, then I'll do some much-needed setup work on my Strat and start tackling stuff like Bleed It Out, Valentine's Day, and The Little Things Give You Away. In Pieces will be done at some point too, I just need to set aside a day where I do nothing but practice the solo so I can get the best possible take of it. I plan on having the entire album (except for What I've Done, as I need to figure out a solution for the parts that are in Drop C) done by the end of the year.

First new guitar in a while today, although it's one that took me almost 8 months to add to the site...whoops. It's a silver Telecaster Mike was seen in the studio with early this year. Go check it out.
Also, I've updated a bunch more tabs lately:
-Haflway Right/Sharp Edges: Both of these songs have been COMPLETELY redone. Lots of stuff that was wrong or completely missing before.
-Jornada del Muerto: Changed the chord shape that the song ends on.
-Robot Boy: Turns out the end of the song is actually three different guitar tracks playing single notes! The "test mix" version from LPU 11 has also been updated accordingly.
-Burning in the Skies: Added some additional feedback in a few spots, updated what Guitars 1 and 2 play under the solo, noted that most of the guitars are played on the neck pickup, and a few other misc. changes.
-Invisible: Deleted the tremolo-picked guitar part during the outro, I'm pretty sure that's actually a synth.
-Lockjaw: Split the harmonics into two guitar parts, as there are different effects/pickups used on them.
-One Step Closer: Changed the "2.7" harmonic notation to the 6th fret, the "2.7" is correct but this makes the notation simpler and is consistent with what I've done with songs like It's Goin' Down in the past. This also applies to 1STP Klosr, One Step Closer (Humble Bros. Remix), and Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer.
-Cumulus: Changed the clean guitar parts to harmonics (I've always known they were harmonics, just couldn't figure out a convenient alternate tuning to make them work), and changed all guitars to 6-strings.
I've also posted new bass tabs for Robot Boy and When They Come for Me!

Whole bunch of tab updates for you today!
-I've added tabs for the entirety of LPU 15 and 16. It took me far too long, but I'm finally caught up on all of the LPU material.
-As previously mentioned, I redid my tab for the Recharged remix of Castle of Glass.
With the LPU stuff out of the way, I've actually reached a point where there isn't a whole lot left to do as far as the LP studio discography goes! Definitely going to focus on doing more videos, and I'll probably post a new tab every once in a while. At some point I need to drastically overhaul all of the live version tabs (they've literally been sitting untouched since before The Hunting Party came out...yikes!), but I think that's a project best saved for when I don't have as many other projects going on as I do at the moment.

No video this weekend, but here's a pretty substantial tabs update:
-I updated the "Other Bands/Misc." page a bit. I now have it sorted in the following order: LP drum tabs, LP remixes I've been involved with, LP covers I've been involved with, and tabs for other artists. I've removed entries for stuff by my non-LP-related music projects as part of my efforts to keep that side of my music career as its own entity. I also added a tab to this page, it's actually one I posted ages ago for a Leo Brouwer classical guitar etude and never put on the page for some reason. This section will likely not be updated very often, although I do at least intend to add tabs for the listed covers/remixes that haven't been posted yet.
-Bass tabs: I updated my tab for Iridescent a bit (the bass in the second verse is a little different than what I thought, and the C notes at the end of the song are all played on the low D string instead of the A string), and also added a separate bass tab for the Iridescent "Energy Up Version" from Transformers, as the bassline is a little different in that one.
In addition, the following guitar tabs have been updated in some significant form (many others have seen formatting updates, but no changes to their actual content):
-Iridescent: I reverted back from thinking the main guitar line is played by a combination of two guitars, it's actually one. I did change some of the 2-note chords to 3-note chords though, as the low G under the first part of that riff is very prominent on the album version. I also made a slight change to the slide at the end of Guitar 1's clean line after the first chorus, and the rhythm guitars play a higher variation of the A5 chord at the very end of the song from what I thought they did.
-Iridescent (Energy Up Version): Made all the changes necessary for this version to be consistent with the album version. I also realized that the EBow guitar part is present in the second chorus of this version along with the extra clean guitar, so I added that as well.
-Not Alone: The part Guitar 1 plays at the end of the first verse is a little different from what I thought, and Guitar 2's entire part is a bit more complicated than what I had before.
-Carry Me Away: Added a lot of parenthetical notation stuff for when notes are carried across from one staff to the next.
I have a few more tab updates in the works, mainly I need to completely redo Mike's remix of Castle of Glass from Recharged (there's a lot more guitar in there than I thought), and potentially look at updates to a few more things. After that I'm going to jump back into working on the LPU 15 and 16 songs, then tackle a few oddball songs I've never tabbed like Bruiser, Closing, Fiends, and some collaborations/remixes.

So I JUST got this uploaded before posting today's update (sorry about the delay!), but here's this week's cover of Easier to Run. 4 parts, 3 videos!
Pretty big list of tab updates this week too:
-Easier to Run: I changed the positioning of one of the harmonics played by Guitar 1.
-Bleed It Out: I finally transcribed the emphasis of what notes are played by Guitar 1 (like I've done more recently with tabs for stuff like Prove You Wrong).
-No More Sorrow: Added slide/hammer-on/pull-off/sustain notation to the EBow parts. I previously resisted doing this, but after doing some other tabs with EBow/long sustained parts, it made more sense to go back and change this one.
-Valentine's Day: Added an additional guitar track, there's an acoustic guitar that plays a few notes during the outro.
-In Pieces: Made some small changes to Guitar 1, and swapped the octaves played by Guitars 3 and 4 at the end of the last chorus (this makes the jump played by Guitar 3 ridiculously big, but Guitar 4 definitely stays on the same part it does the first time through the chorus).
-The Little Things Give You Away: BIG update here, changed a lot of notation on the acoustic guitar parts (as well as the instances where that part is doubled by an electric guitar), made the feedback at the beginning separate from the end rhythm tracks, added an additional guitar during the breakdown and changed some of the background chords there, added a couple EBow guitars for a feedback fade-in right before the solo, made some notation adjustments to the lead guitar during the solo, changed one of the heavy rhythm parts after the solo, and added a guitar track for a feedback sample that periodically fades in during the outro. PHEW!
As far as my next move goes...I REALLY wish I could just finish up Meteora, but I need a baritone guitar to do it. We'll see what happens in that regard. I have one more project I want to tackle before I move on to the Minutes to Midnight-present era, so I'm going to work on that until it's done. That likely means I'll go a week or two without a new upload, since it's a bigger project, but rest assured that this won't be another lengthy absence like I've been known to take. I'll also keep posting tab updates in the meantime!
