Baritone song number 2 of 3 here...the song that opened the first Linkin Park show I ever saw, all the way back in 2004!
Only one song from Meteora left!

Finally getting back into recording YouTube videos again! I recently bought a PRS baritone guitar, so naturally I've decided to revisit some stuff from Meteora I haven't done anything with in a while. For this week, I've covered Nobody's Listening:
Also, I have a new 7-string as well, so I re-shot With You, albeit with the audio from my previous video (I had been meaning to redo this one in 1080p for a long time but didn't have the guitar to do it with):
Other than that, not much to report. I got a tip on the source of the photo set of Brad smashing a Les Paul copy (thanks Phil!), so I updated that entry accordingly. I'll have a couple more songs with the baritone guitar coming up the next two weeks!

Hey everyone! First update of the new year here, and I've posted a new guitar for the first time in a while. It's a Taylor acoustic that Brad used during his commencement speech for the UCLA class of 2009. I've been meaning to add this guitar to the site for a long time, but tracking down info on it was incredibly difficult. Better late than never, I suppose.
I've also been posting a LOT of tab updates lately, so here's a big list for you:
Blackout (Renholder Remix)
Where'd You Go? (SOB Remix)
Across the Line (Alternate Mix)
Shadow of the Day (Alternate Mix)
Heavy (Disero Remix)
The Young and the Hopeless (Remixed by Mr. Hahn)
Rhinestone (Zomba Sampler Version)
Blackout - There's another guitar part in the breakdown that doubles the "stab" chords with distorted single notes.
Across the Line - There was something off with the doubling, I think it was when the octave guitar first comes in during the bridge, I had it doubled when it isn't on the first line (it's been a while and I can't remember).
Be Yourself - Updated some chord positions.
As you can see, I've finished the "Misc. Linkin Park Songs" section and made a lot of headway on the "Other Linkin Park-Related Songs" section as well! I'm actually at a point where I'm mostly finished with studio material (that's currently on the site anyway, I may take a stab at some other stuff like Hybrid Theory-era demos that weren't officially released but have been floating around for a long time), so I'm looking ahead at the monumental task of finally updating all the live versions...Be Yourself was a first taste of that. Still focusing on studio material before I really dive into that stuff though.
Obviously my plans of uploading regularly on YouTube didn't pan out for long. I went on vacation in the middle of December and I just haven't gotten back into things since then. My teaching job has really grown lately, so I pretty much spend my days taking care of my daughter and my evenings/weekends working. It's REALLY hard for me to block out a few hours of time to record anything (tabs are much easier because I can work on them a little at a time and being interrupted isn't a big deal). I don't get anywhere close to enough sleep as it is. But I'm still planning on doing it as I'm able, especially once I finally get a new nut installed on my SE 277.
Hope everyone's first few weeks of the decade are going well!

As of this past weekend, I've completed all of the "quality upgrades" I had planned for Hybrid Theory/Meteora videos (Crawling, A Place for My Head, Session, and Faint Guitar 1). Glad to be done with that and moving forward! I do still need to re-record With You at some point, but I don't currently own a 7-string, so it'll have to wait.
Speaking of moving forward, how about finally being able to tackle some songs I never had the right guitar for? I just bought a PRS SE 277 baritone! I know I said I was going to be doing some Minutes to Midnight stuff next, but I figure since I have access to the right guitar for it now, I might as well finish off Meteora by doing proper videos for Don't Stay, Nobody's Listening, and Somewhere I Belong (the first two were previously done in mediocre quality using one of my brother's guitars during an Ohio visit a few years ago, while Somewhere I Belong is a song I literally haven't touched since 2010!). I may even go off my "main albums only" focus for a bit and do a few other songs that use a baritone (there are a couple LPU demos and some stuff on Reanimation that this could come into play for), we'll see. Still planning to upload 2-3 times a week through the end of the year if I'm able to!

Hey guys, been posting more YouTube content lately. I'm actually trying to upload 2-3 times a week from now through the end of the year, just to sort of catch up on a bunch of stuff I've put off for far too long. One of these projects is upgrading videos that I previously shot at 720p with my old camera, as all of my newer videos are at 1080p. I've already updated my videos for Points of Authority and Lying from You this way (reusing the audio from my previous videos, as there was nothing wrong with it), and will be doing several more Hybrid Theory/Meteora videos this way in the near future.
I've also re-recorded the second guitar for Given Up using different distortion settings (I hated how my previous attempt sounded), as well as the first guitar on Leave Out All the Rest (I didn't like the clean sound on my old video, and I toned down the distortion on the octaves a little bit this time as well). Guitar 2 for Leave Out All the Rest was re-recorded using the old audio as well (both parts were previously in 720p).
Future "quality upgrade" re-uploads will include Crawling, A Place for My Head, Faint (Guitar 1), and Session. I also need to redo With You at some point, but I don't currently own a 7-string, so it'll have to wait a while. Upcoming Minutes to Midnight material will include various combinations of re-recordings/re-uploads of Shadow of the Day, Hands Held High, No More Sorrow, and In Between to start with, then I'll do some much-needed setup work on my Strat and start tackling stuff like Bleed It Out, Valentine's Day, and The Little Things Give You Away. In Pieces will be done at some point too, I just need to set aside a day where I do nothing but practice the solo so I can get the best possible take of it. I plan on having the entire album (except for What I've Done, as I need to figure out a solution for the parts that are in Drop C) done by the end of the year.
