I'm hoping to make this an annual project, in addition to maintaining a weekly upload schedule. You can find the full "Our December" playlist HERE, with a list of included videos below:
Day 1: One Step Closer (Guitar 1)
Day 2: Pushing Me Away (Guitar 2)
Day 3: And One (Both guitars)
Day 4: Part of Me (Both guitars)
Day 5: My December
Day 6: High Voltage (Remix)
Day 7: Easier to Run (Both guitars)
Day 8: Figure.09
Day 9: Wake (Both guitars)
Day 10: Leave Out All the Rest (Both guitars)
Day 11: Valentine's Day (Guitar 3)
Day 12: The Emptiness Machine (Both guitars)

I'm also resuming a weekly upload schedule every Tuesday, last week's video was Bleed It Out (Guitar 1, Guitar 2, Guitar 3). Tune in every week for more covers, I'm currently working on wrapping up Minutes to Midnight, as the Our December project completely finished my playlists for Hybrid Theory EP, Hybrid Theory, and Meteora!

ADDITIONAL PROJECTS IN THE WORKS: As I mentioned in my announcement video for Our December, I'll be launching a Patreon in the near future where I do song-by-song breakdowns of my AmpliTube 5 presets and give general tips on playing/tone. I want to have a library of at least a few videos ready to go before I officially launch my Patreon, so be on the lookout for that soon!

I'm also working on a new longform video series that I'm calling The Linkin Navigator. The guys at Linkinpedia always joke that their website is just a repository of all the LP-related knowledge I've crammed into my brain over the past 24 years, so I figured I could make it into a video series. There won't be a specific theme to this series, but you can expect breakdowns of both studio and live recordings, music theory/song arrangement analysis, stage and studio gear, band-related history, and other general trivia.

Lastly, since I'm using AmpliTube 5 and sharing my presets with my new covers, I'm going to be posting a general AmpliTube tips and tricks video in the near future as well (this will be on my main YouTube channel, not my Patreon).

It's been a big month, and I'm planning to make 2026 a whole year of big months!

December 2025 Updates

https://www.linkinparkguitar.com/home/december-2025-updates

https://www.linkinparkguitar.com/home/december-2025-updates#comments

Uncategorized

Happy December! I'm using AmpliTube 5 MAX with Ableton Live now, with bits of my pedal collection sprinkled in here and there. New computer, new interface, and a bunch of new plugins too. Everything's sounding great, I just want to get a decent library of sounds built first so I can record without having to worry about dialing things in all over again every time I want to do a new song. Separately, I'm working on a deep dive video regarding some production techniques on older Linkin Park live recordings, as I've discovered some pretty interesting stuff that led me down quite the rabbit hole.

Also, I know I mentioned this in my last post, but be sure to check out the new TAB READING GUIDE if you haven't already spotted it under the "Tabs" dropdown menu! I made this a couple months back to cover all the intricacies of my particular method of transcribing songs, since it's significantly more thorough than a lot of other text-based tabbing systems. If you're ever scratching your head over how you're supposed to interpret something in one of my tabs, the info you're looking for can probably be found in this guide.

(insert grumpy, emerging-from-hibernation noises here)

https://www.linkinparkguitar.com/home/insert-grumpy-emerging-from-hibernation-noises-here

https://www.linkinparkguitar.com/home/insert-grumpy-emerging-from-hibernation-noises-here#comments

Uncategorized

Hey everyone! Bet some of you thought I'd never post again, huh? Well, here's the thing: I've been SLOWLY updating the Tabs section this entire time, it's just been such sporadic progress that I never felt it was worth posting a blog update. But I figured I'd post a rundown on the status of the various components of the website:

TABS: Studio tabs are getting pretty close to caught up. Kinda. "Caught up" in this context meaning all material released before approximately 2020, essentially everything that was on the old version of the website - I still have quite a bit of more recently-released stuff to transcribe! I've been doing a lot of quality-of-life updates to existing tabs regarding general ease of reading, but not a ton when it comes to changing the way stuff is actually played. Going forward, I'll be posting more frequent updates regarding what's changed. Also, check out the new Tab Reading Guide Google Doc that I've added to the Tabs drop-down menu, lots of helpful info in there, especially if you're just getting started with reading tab notation.

LP GUITAR PHOTOS: Yeah, I know, everything's still missing. Full disclosure, now that it's been a few years...I almost got sued by a major stock photo library over ONE 15-year-old photo on the old version of the website. With the advancement of automated image-detecting technology, the big stock photo organizations are constantly combing the depths of the Internet trying to siphon every penny they can from small, independent creators like me. As I'm sure some of my older followers remember, I've gotten into major disputes with Google/YouTube and come out victorious before, so I'm certainly not one who's going to let big businesses push me around. That said...I'm in my late 30s and I have a family. I just don't want to deal with it. So instead, I've been working diligently on figuring out exactly which photos I have are safe to use, and finding replacements when necessary. It's exhausting, man. But I'll get this all back online one way or another eventually.

MY GEAR: I've kept this updated to some degree, but it's not completely up-to-date or complete either. Every time I think my rig is mostly "done," I find a reason to make another tweak. Such is the life of a gear nerd, lol.

Lastly...YouTube. It's been waaaaaay too long since I posted anything (other than my A Place for My Head remix - check that out if you haven't already!). I have a lot of new ideas kicking around, and I think I've finally just about got my recording setup rebuilt to the extent that I can execute them in a way that meets my standards. There's a month-long gap in LP's touring schedule coming up just over a week...hmm. Stay tuned.

Welcome to the new LinkinParkGuitar.com!

https://www.linkinparkguitar.com/home/welcome-to-the-new-linkinparkguitarcom

https://www.linkinparkguitar.com/home/welcome-to-the-new-linkinparkguitarcom#comments

General

News

Site Updates

Hey everyone! Unfortunately, there was no way to simply transfer the existing website to another host, so I've been working on rebuilding EVERYTHING from scratch! Big thanks to Weebly/Square, they've been great to work with so far. Please note, the site is still under construction, so a lot of sections are still empty/incomplete.

As far as features of the new site go, here's a quick rundown:

Drop-down menus: I've cleaned up the navigation on here a lot. You'll notice the various sub-sections on the menu bar are now listed in drop-down menus, which has also allowed me to do something I've meant to do for a long time...

Studio/Live tabs separation: There are now separate pages for studio and live versions of all my tabs. Doing this has allowed me to group tabs for different instruments next to each other. For example, if you go to Studio, then scroll down to Hybrid Theory and look at Papercut, you'll see guitar/bass tabs listed. I plan on doing a lot more bass tabs in the future, so this will come in handy.

Photo hosting: NO MORE EXTERNAL PHOTO HOSTING!!!! Weebly offers unlimited storage, so every image you see here is now hosted right on the website. Imgur saved the old site's ass in a rather tough spot and has been great to work with, but this is long overdue and makes things SO much easier.

MASSIVE "My Gear" update: Having to redo the site from scratch gave me the motivation I needed to finally take photos of all my gear. I've also split my gear into Instruments, Amps/Effects, and Other Equipment pages.

New "Site Info" sections: This was an overdue change as well. There's now an "About Me/Site Info" page, a "Contact/Links" page (check out the contact form on there - much easier for you guys to submit comments/questions!), and a "Credits/Contributors" page. All of the info on these pages has been updated from the most recent version of the old site as well.

Still a lot of work to do around here, so keep checking back!

-Anthony
